How Book Club Kits Work

Kits contain 10 copies of one title and a discussion guide, unless otherwise noted. Kits can be found in the library catalog. When you request to place a hold, you will be prompted to contact the New Bern Library Reference Desk  at (252) 638-7807. Kits are signed out from the Reference Desk by a single person with an active Craven-Pamlico library card. Kits are returned by a single person and may not be returned without all 10 books. Checkout period is 6 weeks. A late fee of $1.00 is charged per day for overdue books. The replacement fine for each lost or damaged book is $15.00; and replacement of an entire kit is $150. Many of the titles may be available in large print, audio format, or as a movie. Search our library catalog to request a title in a different format.
