Join us as we celebrate the 85th anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz”. With memorable characters, incredible storytelling, and a fantastic musical score, this book turned movie is a favorite for all ages. According to the Library of Congress, it is the most watched film in movie history.
- Tuesday, October 29 – 4:00-5:00 pm - Mrs. Jewel will share the abridged version of the book
- Wednesday, October 30 – 4:00-5:45 pm - Patrons, young and seasoned, are invited to watch the movie.
- Thursday, October 31 – 4:00-5:30 pm (drop in event) - Follow the yellow brick road and visit the magical land of Oz! The library comes to life, Kansas style! Drop in any time between 4:00 and 5:30 pm to experience hands-on activities from “The Wizard of Oz”. Book characters or other “friendly” costumes are encouraged!
