One Card, Endless Possibilities!
This September, the Craven-Pamlico Regional Library invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how a single card can open the door to endless opportunities.
With a library card, you can check out books and do lots more. From free classes and job resources to homework help, audio books, and cultural events, today’s libraries connect communities to information, inspiration, and each other.
At your Craven-Pamlico Regional Library, you’ll find:
- eBooks, databases, business resources, hot spots, and laptops
- You will find non-traditional items such as clean sweep clean up kits, musical instruments, cake pans and telescopes
- Programs and events for all ages—from storytimes and book clubs to tech help
Sign up for a library card by visiting your local library or online!
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs-up for their own library card.
Throughout the school year, public librarians and library staff will assist parents and caregivers with saving hundreds of dollars on educational resources and services for students. From free access to STEAM programs/activities, educational apps, in-person and virtual homework help, technology workshops to the expertise of librarians, a library card is one of the most cost-effective back-to-school supplies available.
